Discussion Image of the Week: by Laura Rodari
Jared: This image just reaches out and attacks you. Grabs you. Doesn’t let go. I revisit it sure, but what struck me was the amount of time I spent with it the first time I saw it. Usually I take in an image a second (when browsing), rarely am I stopped in my tracks. I’ve noticed that images that elicit that reaction are usually full of questions. What am I seeing here? What’s happening? Who? Where am I? How was it made? Why this rush of emotion, if none of the answers are apparent? Usually this sends me down the rabbit hole of poring through everything I can find from the person who made the image. Well, I’ve been down the Laura Rodari rabbit hole for a while now, because, well, she keeps me coming back. So many questions.
